Home > Jacaranda Club – 23 May 2025
The Jacaranda Club is a cornerstone of the city’s vibrant music scene. Established in 1958 by Allan Williams, The Beatles’ first manager, it provided a platform for emerging talents including the young Beatles themselves. The club’s basement is adorned with murals painted by John Lennon and Stuart Sutcliffe, and served as a rehearsal space for the band during their formative years.
Today, The Jacaranda continues to champion new music, hosting live performances. Its ground-floor bar offers a lively atmosphere, while the upstairs Jacaranda Records combines a record store with listening booths, allowing patrons to enjoy vinyl in a unique setting. The club also features a rare 1948 Voice-o-graph recording machine, enabling visitors to record directly onto vinyl providing a nod to its rich musical heritage.
Beyond its historical significance, The Jacaranda remains a hub for contemporary music, supporting local and touring artists.
Everyman will be performing here at the Turntable Showcase alongside other up and coming bands.
